As President & CEO of Ergo Concepts, LLC, Dr. Landis has been involved in all aspects of project management and corporate development. Ergo Concepts, LLC has provided ergonomic consulting services for over twelve years nationwide. She is a board-certified physical therapist with expertise in the treatment of musculoskeletal disorders and ergonomics. With seventeen years in the health care arena, Julie has worked in ergonomics, clinical sports medicine and orthopedics, and has a special interest in spinal therapy (McKenzie) and orthotics. Beyond her professional education from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA, Julie has participated in ergonomic training through Ergo Web, Park City, UT, and Roy Matheson & Associates, Keene, NH. With more than 2,000 hours of hands-on ergonomic experience, she has been certified as an ergonomic evaluation specialist (CEES) through Roy Matheson & Associates.

Gordon C. DPT, Ergonomist
Gordon is a doctor of physical therapy and graduate of the University of Maryland Baltimore. He is licensed in Maryland, Pennsylvania and New York. With twenty years of professional experience as a physical therapist, he is experienced and skilled in managing clients of all ages. Since 1994, he has been directly involved in promoting ergonomics in construction, office and industrial settings. He is adept at communication and collaboration with employers, employees, other health professionals, and technical professionals to restore client function, comfort and productivity. Gordon is experienced in providing services directly to businesses through ergonomic and industrial health analysis and intervention, through development of employee health promotion programs, employee work capacity testing, and direct care of work-related conditions. Ergonomic training beyond work experience includes continuing education through Roy Matheson and Associates, Keene, NH. Gordon joined the Ergo Concepts team in January 2012 and provides support for workstation evaluations, equipment recommendations and trainings, seminar/trainings and report generation.
Michael M. MPT, Ergonomist
Michael is a graduate of Howard University School of Allied Health. He also holds a Bachelors of Science in Health Sciences and a Bachelor’s of Science in physical education. In addition to his background as a Maryland licensed physical therapist, Michael began working with Ergo Concepts in 2008 and serves as an ergonomics evaluation specialist. His clinical experiences in physical therapy include acute and sub-acute care and outpatient orthopedics. His hobbies include reading, sports, traveling and exploring new technology.
Cindy P. CNP, Ergonomist
Cindy is a Nurse Practitioner with over 27 years of diverse medical-nursing experience including advanced nursing practice, clinical research, clinic management, patient education and medical personnel supervision. She has worked in hospitals, urgent care facilities, research institutes, and the office of the Air Force Surgeon General, Prisons, Mental Health Facilities and many more. She has a special interest in neurology, wellness and ergonomics. Cindy holds a MSN from Emory University, Atlanta, Georgia. She joined Ergo Concepts in 2012 and assists client’s in the DC metro to Baltimore regions.

Allison graduated from the University at Buffalo in 2012 with a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy. She is a Certified Ergonomic Assessment Specialist through the Back School of Atlanta. She is currently a licensed Occupational Therapist in the state of Virginia. Allison has experience in acute care with multiple diagnosis including orthopedic rehabilitation with a focus on the hand, wrist and elbow. She joined ergo concepts in 2014 and assists client’s in the DC metro area.
Gary M. CEAS, Ergonomist
Gary is a graduate of Rider College with a BS in Psychology with an Experimental and Industrial concentration. He brings over 22 years of Ergonomic experience to Ergo Concepts, specializing in Office Ergonomics. Gary operated his own ergonomics Company from 1990 to 2000, providing ergonomic interventions for various government and commercial entities in the Mid-Atlantic region. His client list included extensive work with such entities as Johnson and Johnson, Guardian Life Insurance, Frankfort and Crozier-Keystone Hospitals, Aegis Insurance, US Healthcare(now Aetna), and numerous VA Hospital facilities in the Mid-East. In 2000, Mr. Masenior was recruited by Workrite Ergonomics, a leading manufacturer of Ergonomic products, as Territory Manager for Washington DC, Maryland, and Virginia. His responsibilities included Sales, Project Management, Product Specification, and Workplace Evaluations. His client list included many GSA and Commercial entities. Most notable, he has worked extensively with the Department of Defense including The Pentagon Renovation(2001-2011), Defense Information Systems Agency(DISA), NAVSEA Headquarters, State Department(Headquarters and Embassies around the world), St Elizabeths Homeland Security Project, National Institute of Health Clinical Research project, Nuclear Regulatory Commission Headquarters, USDA Headquarters, MITRE Corporation, and Penn National Insurance. He recently retired from Workrite Ergonomics (2013) and assumed a position with ErgoConcepts providing Ergonomic Services in New Jersey, Eastern Pennsylvania (including Philadelphia), and Delaware and Baltimore Maryland region.
Robin A., LMT, BCTMB, CEAS
Robin brings a diverse background and perspective to our team. She has a B.A. in Journalism with a minor concentration in Kinesiology and is also a board certified and licensed massage therapist with 10 years of experience. Robin has been in a variety of workplace settings including healthcare facilities, office environments, and manufacturing plants. She is certified in ergonomic assessments and has recently worked at a General Electric (GE) Aviation occupational health clinic where she completed office and industrial ergonomic assessment reports, post injury assessments, incident investigations, and extensive documentation for worker’s compensation cases. Her unique experiences and extensive knowledge of musculoskeletal structure and function adds another element of expertise to our Ergo Concepts LLC team.
Gloria R., Executive Assistant
Gloria provides all aspects of administrative support in our home office. She is available to field questions from clients and works to process monthly invoices, receive documents from the field ergonomists and act as a liaison between the home office, clients and ergonomists in the field. Gloria is also available to assist in a pinch when extra support is needed for projects. Her friendly demeanor and “can do” attitude resonate with everyone and make any project a pleasure. Gloria is originally from the Washington DC area (Maryland Suburbs), where she worked for 9 years as a Physical Therapists Aide. She is fluent in Spanish and loves animals, cooking and quality time with her family and friends. She joined Ergo Concepts, LLC in 2014.
Jeannie K., MPT, CEES, Ergonomist
Jeannie, MPT, CEES, a licensed physical therapist, Roy Matheson and Associates certified, and Humanscale, Inc. certified office ergonomics evaluator, graduated in 1993 from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications and Psychology. In 2000, she graduated from Nova Southeastern University in Davie, Florida, with a Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy. Jeannie is a native of the Washington, DC area, and has been treating occupational orthopedic injuries for over 15 years. The first several years of Jeannie’s career were spent in Chicago, Illinois, working for Rush Occupational Health Centers (ROHC), focused on the physical therapy treatment, and prevention, of work related musculoskeletal injuries. Currently, Jeannie is the Director of Physical Therapy at Nova Pain and Rehab in Arlington, Virginia. Jeannie is a certified Pilates instructor for rehabilitation professionals, and incorporates neck and low back stabilization techniques with both her physical therapy patients and ergonomics clients. In addition, Jeannie is the owner and lead designer of Ergo-RX, a therapeutic home office ergonomics and custom ergonomics furnishings store.

Patricia B has a Bachelor of Science degree from Howard University and Master of Science degree in Athletic Training from Indiana University, Bloomington. She has been an athletic trainer for 30+ years at the university/college and high school levels. The need for her office and athletic venue coverage sites to be more ergonomically suitable for herself sparked the interest, study and application of ergonomic assessments. She joined Ergo Concepts in 2014 and assists clients in the DC metro area.

Samy is a Physical Therapist from Australia who graduated from Curtin University in 2008. He has had clinical experience in outpatient and hospital settings. Samy has also had experience in ergonomics and manual handling risk assessments on a mine site in Western Australia, which lead to his interest in occupational health and safety. Samy joined Ergo Concepts in 2015 and assists clients in the DC metro area.

Kevin, ATC, LAT, Ergonomist is a certified athletic trainer and is licensed in the state of Maryland. He attended the University of Charleston (WV) where he graduated with his Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training in 2014. He was also a scholarship athlete while at the University of Charleston. Kevin worked for a year as a full time outreach athletic trainer for secondary schools of the greater Washington DC area and still serve on an as needed basis. Kevin also has an interest in physical therapy as it relates to ergonomics, which sparked his interest in Ergo Concepts LLC. Outside of work Kevin enjoys working out, being active, traveling, and concerts.

Carla holds a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Ithaca College, and a Master of Industrial Design degree from Pratt Institute. Her work as an ergonomist is complemented by her clinical rationale and understanding of human centered design. Carla holds certifications in Ergonomic Assessment (CEAS) and Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE), and has client experience within clinical, industrial and corporate settings. Luisa has a background in physical therapy and has been working in back-to-work and sports rehabilitation in the US and Europe. The experience of having worked with patients and clients as a physical therapist and certified personal trainer has helped her develop a profound understanding of posture, movement and behavioural change. She graduated with a Masters of Science in Ergonomics in Health and Community Care from Loughborough University in the UK in 2014. As part of her dissertation, she worked extensively with an international construction and development company in researching, improving and implementing healthier and more productive ways of office and project management. She now consults clients in home and corporate settings in the NY metropolitan area.

Terrance has over sixteen years of experience as a physical therapist/clinical orthopedic specialist and ergonomist. He is a graduate of Boston University (Bachelor of Health Science, and Masters of Science in Physical Therapy) and University of Scranton (DPT). Laura has a Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy from Northwestern University Medical School, Programs in Physical Therapy and a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Pennsylvania. She is licensed to practice physical therapy in New York and Colorado. Additional continuing education through Roy Matheson and Associates established her as a Certified Ergonomic Evaluation Specialist (CEES). Her background as a dancer of twenty years and a weight lifter has allowed her to apply this experience as a lecturer on body awareness, injury prevention, traveling ergonomically and safe lifting. She has served as a lecturer at Hunter College and a body mechanics trainer for nurses at The Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. Christopher has been active in the field of rehabilitation and wellness for over fifteen years in a variety of professional roles. He holds educational degrees and board certifications with majors in Ergonomics and Biomechanics, Physical Therapy, Psychotherapy, and Rehabilitation, with a specialization in the study of workplace evaluation, ergonomics and wellness. Gloria is a graduate of the University of California/Davis in Exercise Science. She has been providing workstation evaluations and office ergonomic seminars since 1998. While attending graduate school, she developed and co-directed a weight management program. Upon completion of her Masters in Science, Gloria went on to work in corporate fitness for a telecommunications company in San Francisco, San Ramon and Sacramento. She was involved in the management of a fitness center; providing back care and weight management education; personalized exercise programs; physical abilities testing and providing office ergonomic assessments and trainings. She received her ergonomic education from the Cooperative Extension program at University of California/Davis and is certified as an Ergonomic Evaluations Specialist (CEES) through Roy Matheson & Associates. Jim earned a Bachelor of Science degree from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. He has over twenty years’ experience in the ergonomics field specializing in office ergonomics. As a consultant and Certified Ergonomics Assessment Specialist and conducts on-site ergonomic evaluations for public and private sector clients in the Southern California area & is intimately familiar with ergonomic seating and furniture solutions. He provides on-site training in office ergonomics, reducing the risk of work-related injuries for all populations: rehab, return to work, special needs & general office. Jim also brings over twenty three years of expertise in the equipment sales and service industry to clients and can provide expertise as well as the occasional elbow grease, helping to tighten a keyboard tray or adjust a bolt (he keeps a tool box with him and isn’t afraid to jump in when needed). Abbe has been providing ergonomic workstation support since 2004, in the Southern California region. Her career includes experience in workers compensation cases as well as preventative evaluations. She spent 15 years serving as a liaison between workers and various Workers Compensation Insurance Companies, as a vocational rehabilitation consultant, providing assistance and guidance to injured workers with physical disabilities as they returned to suitable gainful employment. Serafine L. has taught ergonomics classes and performed ergonomic evaluations for many companies, including Apple, Inc., Cisco Systems, Inc., Boeing and PGE. Her mission is to maximize employee productivity, health and well-being through the implementation of proper ergonomic principles. Tamara is responsible for hazard evaluation and training for upward of thirty thousand workers involved in every aspect of a medical and teaching institution, including medical research and laboratories, health care delivery, office work, information management, laundry processing, food preparation, maintenance, grounds keeping, housekeeping, and telecommunications. Responsible for coordinating ergonomic-related activities, including performing ergonomic evaluations of workplaces, implementing an institution-wide ergonomics program, organizing and guiding an ergonomics committee, developing ergonomic policies, procedures, and guidelines, developing and conducting ergonomic training classes, managing the activities of ergonomics staff, and providing technical expertise for projects involving purchasing managers, facility planners, operations managers and occupational physicians.

Allen holds a Master of Science degree in physical therapy from Duke University, Durham NC. With almost 40 years’ experience as a physical therapist, the past 23 years have focused on workplace cumulative trauma injury prevention and ergonomics. This focus came as a result of insights and sensible cost-effective healthcare priorities gained during his initial 17 years as director of physical therapy services at 600-bed Maine Medical Center, Portland, ME, the state’s largest referral and teaching medical center.
