President / Senior Ergonomist
Lori Eig, DPT, CEES, CSCS, is a board certified physical therapist and personal trainer, with expertise in the treatment of musculoskeletal disorders, ergonomics, and strength conditioning. With over seven years in the health care arena, she has worked in the areas of: ergonomics, clinical sports medicine and orthopedics, and has a special interest in strength training, orthotics and manual therapy. As an owner/Senior Ergonomist of Ergo Concepts, LLC, Dr. Eig has been integrally involved in all aspects of project management and corporate development including: corporate launching of services (workstation evaluations, consulting, seminars, computer based training etc..), marketing, accounting, and client relations. Beyond her professional education, Ithaca College, Ithaca, New York, Dr. Eig has participated in ergonomic continuing education, provided via Ergo Web, Park City, Utah, and Roy Matheson & Associates, Keene, NH. With more than 2,000 hours of hands-on ergonomic experience, she was recently awarded the distinction of becoming a certified ergonomic evaluation specialist (CEES) through Roy Matheson & Associates. Lori received her Doctoral degree, Temple University/Physical Therapy, in June 2005.

 




CEO / Senior Ergonomist
Julie Landis, DPT, CEES, is a board certified physical therapist with expertise in the treatment of musculoskeletal disorders and ergonomics. With over nine years in the health care arena, she has worked in the areas of: ergonomics, clinical sports medicine and orthopedics, and has a special interest in spinal therapy (McKenzie) and orthotics. As an owner/Senior Ergonomist of Ergo Concepts, LLC and as a Senior Ergonomist, Dr. Landis has been involved in all aspects of project management and corporate development including: corporate launching of services (workstation evaluations, consulting, seminars, computer based training etc…), marketing, operations, and client relations. Beyond her professional education, Arcadia University, Glenside, PA, Dr. Landis has participated in ergonomic continuing education, provided via Ergo Web, Park City, Utah, and Roy Matheson & Associates, Keene, NH. With more than 2,000 hours of hands-on ergonomic experience, she was recently awarded the distinction of becoming a certified ergonomic evaluation specialist (CEES) through Roy Matheson & Associates. Julie received her Doctoral degree, Temple University/Physical Therapy, in June 2005.

 


West Coast Manager / Ergonomist
Gloria Purnell, MS is a graduate of the University of California at Davis in Exercise Science. She has been providing workstation evaluations and office ergonomic seminars since 1998. After receiving her BS in Biological Sciences and a teaching credential from UCD, Ms. Purnell went on to teach high school biology for two years. While attending graduate school, she developed and co-directed a weight management program. Upon completion of her MS, Ms. Purnell went on to work in a corporate fitness program for a telecommunications company in San Francisco, San Ramon and Sacramento. She was involved in the management of a fitness center; providing back care and weight management education; personalized exercise programs; physical abilities testing and was trained in office ergonomics. Ms. Purnell has received ergonomic continuing education from the Cooperative Extension program at UCD. Ms. Purnell joined ErgoConcepts LLC in 2006 as the West Coast Coordinator and ergonomist.


Organizing Specialist
Amy Weinberg is an organizing specialist with an expertise in workstation set-up paper management and clutter removal. A graduate of The Pennsylvania State University with a degree in Accounting, Ms. Weinberg has over 18 years experience in the business world and knows first-hand the importance of an organized work environment. Ms. Weinberg specializes in overall workspace enhancements, filing system set-up and computer document categorizing.

She has the ability to work with all levels of personnel in many different industries, assessing individual requirements and designing an organizing program that meets their needs.


Ergonomist
Laurie Lazoff, MPT, is a graduate of University of Maryland’s program in physical therapy. She received a double major in Marketing and Computer Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania. She began working with Ergo Concepts in 2003 and has served as a workstation evaluation specialist. In addition to ergonomics Ms. Abzug-Lazoff’s work history includes orthopedic and sports medicine physical therapy, and neurologic and geriatric assessment and treatment. Business experience includes the design and implementation of a national marketing campaign for software products and technical solutions. She has managerial and business consulting experience, and is an avid tennis enthusiast.



Ergonomist
Linda Johnson, MS, PT, is a licensed and registered physical therapist. She is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University, from which she holds a degree in motor Learning and Control. She received a BS in Physical therapy from Ithaca College, Ithaca, NY and holds certifications in Laban Movement Analysis and in coaching for personal and professional mastery. Ms. Johnson serves as an Ergo Concepts educator, facilitating seminars and staff in-services. She is also adept in performing ergonomic workstation evaluations. One of her many areas of expertise is teaching and treating diverse populations of adult learners. In addition to teaching at the Laban/Bartenieff Institute For Movement Studies, College Park, MD, she is a part-time faculty member of the Anne Arundel Community College program in Physical Therapy. She has worked as a movement education consultant and has experience in workshops and dance choreography. As a physical therapist practitioner she has worked in home health and hospice care as well as for the Anne Arundel County Department of Health.



Ergonomist
Dana Swartz, MS, PT, Cert. MDT is a licensed physical therapist and a graduate of Medical College of VirginiaÌs program in physical therapy. She holds certification and credentialing in the McKenzie method of spinal treatment (Cert MDT). This program includes 98 contact hours of continuing education and requires the passing of both a written and oral examination. Ms. SwartzÌs serves as an ergonomic evaluation specialist for Ergo Concepts, LLC. Evaluations have been conducted in a variety of settings including: general office, lab and industrial. She is also responsible for the generation of evaluation reports, Lunch-N-Learn seminars, maintaining client files, and client correspondence. In addition, she is a certified personal trainer, through the American Council on Exercise. Physical therapy experience includes: skilled nursing facilities, home health, outpatient and acute care. In addition to spinal treatment and ergonomics, Ms. Swartz is interested in all aspects of manual treatment.



Ergonomist
Laura Schultz, MPT, CEES is a board certified physical therapist with expertise in neurosurgical acute care (spinal cord and brain injury). Her broad range of experience includes the areas of sports medicine, cardiac care, geriatrics, respiratory intensive care, psychiatric, and general acute care. She is a graduate of the Northwestern University Medical School’s Program in Physical Therapy (MPT 1995) and a cum laude graduate of the University of Pennsylvania’s school of Communications (BA 1990). She serves as a guest lecturer and assistant at Hunter College, New York, NY, and Long Island University, New York, NY. Professional course work includes extensive continuing education in sports and orthopedics, neurology, spinal cord injury rehabilitation, and ergonomics. Ms. Schultz has participated in ergonomic continuing education, provided via Roy Matheson & Associates, Keene, NH. As an Ergo Concepts, LLC associate she provides expert analysis of the general office workstation as well as materials handling trainings and seminars. She is in the process of finalizing the requirements needed to receive the certified ergonomic evaluation specialist (CEES) designation, Roy Matheson & Associates, Keene, NH. Ms. Schultz heads the Metro New York Division of Ergo Concepts, LLC.
